Betty Buckley Is Coming to a City Near You

The Tony-winning actress, who has scheduled several concerts throughout the country, will also offer master classes in New York.

Tony Award winner Betty Buckley, who is currently starring in the award-winning musical Grey Gardens at the CTG/Ahmanson Theatre, will return to Joe’s Pub, the intimate nightclub located within the Public Theater, in September.

The acclaimed singing actress will offer her brand-new show, Story Songs, September 22-25.

The Olivier Award nominee will share a collection of songs by Radiohead, Stephen Schwartz, Jason Robert Brown, Joe Iconis and Ben Toth, among others. Buckley will be joined by her long-time musical director and arranger, jazz pianist Christian Jacob, with Tony Marino on bass, Oz Noy on guitar and Ben Perowsky on drums and percussion.

Buckley will also present Story Songs in Philadelphia, PA (September 18), Port Washington, NY (September 30), San Francisco, CA (October 21-22) and Costa Mesa, CA (October 27–29). She will perform Ghostlight, based on her recent album with T Bone Burnett, in Newark, NJ (September 17).

In addition, Buckley will offer a five-day Intensive Song Interpretation Workshop at New York’s T. Schreiber Studio September 19-29. Auditors are welcome. Click here for more information.

Betty Buckley offered acclaimed performances in Broadway’s Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776, Triumph of Love and Promises, Promises. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in the Broadway production of Cats, and she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises, Dear World and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter.

Buckley recently completed shooting the new M. Night Shyamalan film Split, co-starring James McAvoy. The film will be released in January 2017
