Fort Worth’s own Betty Buckley has been getting rave reviews from from coast-to-coast and abroad, and now the Tony Award-winning singer is bringing her concert to her hometown.

Buckley takes the stage for two concerts at McDavid Studio next to Fort Worth’s Bass Performance Hall on Saturday, March 28.

The performance will be an intimate cabaret-style concert, with the audience in tables and chairs.

“It’s very intimate, it feels like singing to people in your living room, which I’ve always enjoyed — that intimacy,” said Buckley.

“In My Own Backyard – From Broadway to Ghostlight,” includes some of Buckley’s favorite songs from Broadway’s greatest as well as songs from her latest album “Ghostlight” produced by T Bone Burnett.

Audiences will no doubt hope to hear Buckley perform ‘Memory’ from her role in ‘Cats’ which won her a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.

“It always depends on the audience,” said Buckley. “I hold it back for my encore and if the audience is warm and lovely and appreciative — which I’m counting on that in Fort Worth — then yes, I sing ‘Memory.'”
