Story Songs V @ Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and legendary Broadway star, Tony Award Winner and Theatre Hall of Fame Inductee Betty Buckley, present Story Songs V, a benefit concert featuring her Spring Song Interpretation Workshop participants.

A portion of the proceeds of the concerts will benefit the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

Song Interpretation/Monologue Workshop in New York City @ T.S. Schreiber Studio NYC

Legendary Broadway star Betty Buckley will be offering a 5 day Song Interpretation & Monologue Intensive Workshop at the T. Schreiber Studio in December. The Tony Award Winner will assist aspiring artists, educators and experienced performers in the craft of singing, acting and storytelling.

The workshop also welcomes observers who participate in all aspects of the class except the individual coaching by Ms. Buckley. There are two ways to take the class – as a Full Participant and as a Group Participant/Observer. Full participants will work on EITHER a song or monologue throughout the workshop:

FULL PARTICIPANT (5 classes)
DATES: December 7 – December 11, 2015
(Monday-Friday Evenings 6:30pm-10:30pm)
FEE: $875

As a Full Participant, the first class includes an introduction to the unique tools she uses, her philosophy and meditation techniques. Each subsequent class begins with the meditation technique and moves on to individual work. An accompanist is provided for singers.  (by interview/audition only)

OBSERVING STUDENT (5 classes)
DATES: December 7 – December 11, 2015
(Monday-Friday Evenings 6:30pm-10:30pm)
FEE: $500

Participation as an Observer is for those who are not experienced  actors or singers or cannot commit  to the demands of fully participating in the workshop. You will participate in all group meditation & exercises and observe individual work. (By interview only)

Tony winner Betty Buckley, who is set to reprise her role in Grey Gardens this summer for West Coast audiences at the Ahmanson Theatre, will return to New York City May 1-5 to teach her Song Interpretation & Monologue workshop at the T. Schreiber Studio.

This master class for actors and singers is open to artists at all levels: high school students preparing for college auditions, current college students, professional actors and singers, educators and other professionals aspiring to refine their communication skills in word or song. The class also welcomes observers who participate in all aspects of the class except the individual coaching by Buckley.
